All commissioned items, digital and traditional, come with my Sticker of Authenticity on the backs of them. Should you also like a Certificate of Authenticity to accompany your piece, I will provide this as well. Prints and/or gift cards of your picture can be arranged at discounted prices for any family or friends.

Please contact me if you would like to discuss commissioning me. I am able to paint from any photos or concepts you would like, be they pets, wildlife or fantasy.
As detailed in the price list, I am able to also place your animals onto backgrounds I have previously drawn (e.g. the cave from Of Foxes & Fireflies).
Photos: Please note that to draw a high quality picture, I will need high quality photos. Please ensure your photos are sharp and do not use flash (which can affect the look of animals eyes and fur colour). Please also ensure your photos are taken at eye level with your pet so as not to distort them. Photos generally look best when take slightly to the side of the face as opposed to straight on.
Your photos can be sent to me either by e-mail or post. If you choose to post your photos, I will return them when I send on to you your finished picture.
Timescale: Once I have all the details of what you are looking for, I will be able to give you a rough timescale. It will also depend on when you require the picture to be completed by. Chinese Silk Scrolls can be completed usually within 1-2 weeks whilst digital work may take 2-3 weeks or more depending on size and content. Watercolour and pencil work fall somewhere inbetween.
Please note that I maintain copyright of all pictures I draw, including those for commission. Pictures cannot be reproduced aside from by myself. Customer's consent will first be sought should I wish to reproduce prints.
Commission Options
I am available to be commissioned using a number of methods:
Digital Drawing: The majority of the work you will find in my gallery is digitally drawn. This technique uses a pencil-shaped computer mouse.
Once complete, you then have the option of having the picture kept digital, printed onto high quality artist paper or printed onto canvas (charged only at cost of production).
Watercolour: These are painted on sturdy high quality artist's paper (either A4 or A3 size; please note the larger the size the more detailed the piece).
Pencil Studies: These are drawn on high quality artist's paper (either A4 or A3 size).
Chinese Scrolls: These are hand-painted Chinese silk scrolls (there are a wide variety of scroll styles and colours that I can use). They are painted using black ink with a traditional Chinese calligraphy brush. I have several painting styles you can select from and you can request a group of words or names which I will write in Chinese characters.
Other Media: I am also available for commissions using other media such as acrylics.

Chinese Scrolls (P&P not included)
All scrolls are made with patterned silk and chinese paper. The end of the scrolls are weighed down with a wooden pole and have a silk ribbon at the top for hanging. You will have a variety of scroll types and colours to choose from depending on your preferred size.

Of Foxes and Fireflies - a fantasy cave by the sea filled with fireflies atracts a curious leash of foxes.

Shows the various levels of detail in a background that can be created for One / Two / Multiple Full Body Animals
These are also examples of backgrounds that can be used for the Pre-existing Background option (e.g. the foxes would be removed and your animals added to the cave)

All prints are produced using Giclee ink. This ink is fade-resitant and of very high quality. It's texture allows for smooth gradient change resulting in a perfect print from an original picture.
I am able to print pieces to a variety of sizes and using a variety of materials. You can therefore select the size and material of your choice. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Paper Prints
These pieces can be printed onto a variety of paper materials (photo shows a collection of prints packaged in plastic). They would need framing which you could either arrange yourself on receipt of the print or I could arrange on request.

Somerset Velvet Watercolour 255gsm - Matte textured high quality paper
Hahnemuhle Archival Photorag 308gsm - Smooth high quality paper
Other specially requested paper (e.g. canvas paper)
Canvas Prints
These pieces will be printed onto high quality art canvas paper and then stretched across a frame approximately 1 1/2 inches deep. The canvases are varnished for added protection.
You have a choice of the image being wrap-around (the sides of the canvas are printed on; ideal for hanging without a frame) or to-the-edge (the sides of the canvas are white).
Postage With box canvases, the artwork is protected with bubblewrap and tissue paper. With paper pieces, they are placed in front of cardboard for protection and wrapped in plastic or tissue paper. I post all artwork as Recorded Delivery packages through Royal Mail. Should you live outside of the UK, I will post your item through a tracking company. Postal options can be discussed.
Payment With commissions, I require a 25% deposit to cover the cost of materials/time required to set up your art piece (non-refundable). Once I have completed the initial sketch, I will e-mail you a copy for your agreement. If you are happy for me to continue, I will require the remainder of the payment. I keep in regular contact with my customers, e-mailing them updates at regular intervals of the picture's progress.
